About Joanne Darlaston

B.A.Honours, MSW, RSW, Reiki Master, Zenith Omega Practitioner, Akashic Record Consultant and Energy Healer.

Joanne has a Master's Degree in Social Work and more than 15 years of experience counselling adults and adolescents –many with highly complex struggles due to trauma. Her fundamental belief is that clients are the experts on their own internal states and that a counsellor’s role is to facilitate the healing process, first by identifying the core issues of concern and then by focusing upon the clients strengths, inner resources and higher self and developing a therapeutic strategy to assist the client to heal themselves.

Each of us have as a part of us, a higher self, that knows what is best for us and guides us to reach our full potential.  This higher self, sometimes referred to as our “soul”, is connected to everyone in the world as well as to universal energy/higher power/God.

 

Joanne has received training in Usui Reiki - Level I, II, Advanced and Reiki Master.  She has also been trained in “Intuitive Healing”, Bach Flower Remedies, Zensight Process, Zenith Omega (Levels 1-3) , Akashic Record Consultations  (Level 1-3) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

15 years of experience working in the area of trauma/abuse has taught Joanne that healing must include the mind, body and spirit.  For this reason, traditional talk therapy is often inadequate.  Therefore, she utilizes a variety of approaches as follows:
